Morning Prayer

Most High Lord and Eternal God,
I give You unceasing thanks for your immutable and infinite perfection,
for creating me out of nothing, and for preserving me in Your presence; remembering the creature You have made.

I praise and adore You,
rendering You honor, magnificence and divinity
as the Supreme Lord and Creator of all that exists.

And raising up my spirit and placing it in Your hands,
with profound humility I offer myself in them,
imploring You to use me according to Your most holy will
this day and all the days of my life.

Advise me what pleases You most,
in order to perform all You have assigned me
according to Your counsel, permission and blessing. Amen.

Prayer to St. Joseph

To you, O blessed Joseph, do we come in our tribulation,
and having implored the help of your most holy spouse,
we confidently invoke your patronage also.
Through that charity which bound you to the Immaculate Virgin Mother of God
and through the paternal love with which you embraced the Child Jesus,
we humbly beg you graciously to regard the inheritance
which Jesus Christ has purchased by his Blood,
and with your power and strength to aid us in our necessities.
O most watchful Guardian of the Holy Family,
defend the chosen children of Jesus Christ; O most loving father,
ward off from us every contagion of error and corrupting influence;
O our most mighty protector, be propitious to us,
and from heaven assist us in our struggle with the power of darkness;
and, as once you rescued the Child Jesus from deadly peril,
so now protect Godıs Holy Church
from the snares of the enemy and from all adversity;
shield, too, each one of us by your constant protection,
so that, supported by your example and your aid,
we may be able to live piously, to die holy,
and to obtain eternal happiness in heaven.  Amen.

Our Father

Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,  but deliver us from evil.  Amen.

Hail Mary

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now and at the hour of death.  Amen.

Apostles Creed

I believe in God, the Father almighty,
Creator of heaven and earth,
and in Jesus Christ,
His only Son, our Lord.
He was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
and born of the Virgin Mary.
He suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died and was buried.
He descended into hell.
On the third day He rose again
from the dead.
He ascended into heaven,
and is seated at the right hand
of God the Father Almighty.
He will come again to judge
the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the Holy Catholic Church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and life everlasting.  Amen.

Communion Prayer

Soul of Christ, sanctify me
Body of Christ, save me
Blood of Christ, inebriate me
Water from Christ's side, wash me
Passion of Christ, strengthen me
O good Jesus, hear me
Within Thy wounds hide me
Suffer me not to be separated from Thee
From the malicious enemy defend me
In the hour of my death call me
And bid me come unto Thee
That I may praise Thee with Thy saints
Forever and ever.  Amen.

Prayer to St. Michael

St. Michael the Archangel,
defend us in battle,
be our defense against the wickedness
and snares of the devil;
may God rebuke him, we humbly pray,
and do you
O Prince of the heavenly hosts,
by the divine power,
thrust into hell Satan
and all the evil spirits
who prowl about the world
seeking the ruin of souls.  Amen.

Act of Contrition

O my God,
I am heartily sorry for
having offended Thee,
and I detest all my sins,
because I dread the loss of heaven,
and the pains of hell;
but most of all because
they offend Thee, my God,
Who are all good and
deserving of all my love.
I firmly resolve,
with the help of Thy grace,
to confess my sins,
to do penance,
and to amend my life.  Amen.

An Act of Consecration to the Sacred Heart of Jesus
(by Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque)

I give myself and consecrate to the Sacred Heart of our Lord Jesus Christ, my person and my life, my actions, pains and sufferings, so that I may be unwilling to make use of any part of my being other than to honor, love and glorify the Sacred Heart. This is my unchanging purpose, namely, to be all His, and to do all things for the love of Him, at the same time renouncing with all my heart whatever is displeasing to Him. I therefore take You, O Sacred heart, to be the only object of my love, the guardian of my life, my assurance of salvation,
the remedy of my weakness and inconstancy,
the atonement for all the faults of my life and my sure refuge at the hour of death.
Be then, O Heart of goodness, my justification before God the Father, and turn away from me the strokes of his righteous anger. O Heart of love, I put all my confidence in You, for I fear everything from my own wickedness and frailty,
but I hope for all things from Your goodness and bounty.
Remove from me all that can displease You or resist Your holy will;
let your pure love imprint Your image so deeply upon my heart,
that I shall never be able to forget You or to be separated from You.
May I obtain from all Your loving kindness the grace of having my name written in Your Heart, for in You I desire to place all my happiness and glory,
living and dying in bondage to You.   Amen.

Angelus

The Angel of the Lord declared unto Mary:
And she conceived of the Holy Spirit.
Hail Mary . . .

Behold the handmaid of the Lord:
Be it done unto me according to thy word.
Hail Mary . . .

And the Word was made Flesh, and dwelt among us.
Hail Mary . . .

Pray for us, O Holy Mother of God, that we may be made
worthy of the promises of Christ.

Let us pray:
Pour forth, we beseech Thee, O Lord, Thy grace into our hearts that we,
to whom the incarnation of Christ, Your Son, was made known by the
message of an angel, may by His Passion and Cross be brought to the
glory of His Resurrection, through the same Christ Our Lord.  Amen.

How to Pray the Rosary

Start by making the sign of the Cross:

In the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Then recite the Apostles Creed.
Then,  say 1 "Our Father", 3 "Hail Mary's" and then 1 "Glory Be":

OUR FATHER, Who art in heaven, Hallowed be Thy Name. Thy Kingdom come, Thy Will be done, On earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day, our daily bread, And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

HAIL MARY, Full of Grace, The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now, and at the hour of death. Amen.

GLORY BE to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end.
Amen.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Rosary is divided into three parts, each having five mysteries.
While meditating on each Mystery, recite:

1 "Our Father"
10 "Hail Mary's" and
1 "Glory Be"

Then say the "Fatima Prayer".

O my Jesus,
 forgive us our sins,
save us from the fires of hell,
 lead all souls to heaven,
especially those who are
most in need.

All together this makes up one decade.  Repeat for each decade.

My God, I believe, I adore, I hope, I love You.
I ask pardon for those who do not believe,
do not adore, do not hope and do not love You.

O most holy Trinity, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit,
I adore You profoundly.
I offer You the most precious Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Jesus Christ,
present in all the tabernacles of the world
in reparation for the outrages, sacrileges and indifference
by which He is offended.
By the infinite merits of the Sacred Heart of Jesus
and the Immaculate Heart of Mary,
I beg the conversion of poor sinners.

Most holy Trinity, I adore You.
My God. My God.
I love you in the Most Blessed Sacrament.

O my Jesus. It is for love of You,
in reparation for the offenses committed

and for the conversion of poor sinners.

O my Jesus, forgive us our sins,

Lead all souls to heaven,
especially those most in need of your mercy.

Prayer to St. Joseph

O blessed Joseph, faithful guardian of my Redeemer, Jesus Christ, protector
of your chaste spouse, the Virgin Mother of God, I choose you this day to
be my special patron and advocate and I firmly resolve to honor you all
the days of my life. Therefore I humbly beseech you to receive me as your
client, to instruct me in every doubt, to comfort me in every affliction,
to obtain for me and for all the knowledge and love of the Heart of Jesus,
and finally to defend and protect me at the hour of my death.  Amen.
